Swim15 for Bowel Cancer UK
Swimming is not my thing which is why I thought I’d sign up for Swim15 as I love a challenge! In 2010, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Bowel Cancer. After surgery, treatment and close monitoring I’m now 14 years clear. I’m one of the lucky ones and am so very grateful for the amazing care I received from the NHS team at Kings College, London.
I’m diving into Swim15 this August, raising money to help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. The money raised will help provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.
Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.
Please donate if you can and I know it's not glam, but just a reminder to always check your poo, it could just save your life.
