I'm fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and we're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.

I’m diving into Swim15 this August and raising money to help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. The money I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.

I’m swimming for my nanny Kay who passed away from Bowel Cancer in 2020. The support and treatment she received was phenomenal and everyone affected by this terrible disease should be offered the same level of support she was. I love and miss you Nan ❤️

My inspiration for doing this challenge is my nanny Kay. She was the funniest woman I have ever met and so strong even during her cancer diagnosis. The last time I saw Nan she was so positive about her prognosis and was an absolute light until the very end. I know myself and my whole family will vouch that we haven’t been the same since but her positivity and approach to life is something I will always carry with me.
