I'm fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK

As you probably know, my husband sadly passsed away from bowel cancer a few years ago. I am taking on the Swim15 in August challenge to try and help raise funds to hopefully prevent someone else going through what he went through, to help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. The money I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and we're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.

Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.

Friday 30th Aug

Swim challenge - done!! That’s 42.275kms (or 1691 laps!) of swimming in August (my target was 40kms). I’m gutted not to get to 45kms but I’ve got sinusitis from the swimming so no swimming for me for a while. I’ve raised just over £1,350 so far and hoping for a few more donations to come in.
