I'm fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and we're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.
I’m diving into Swim15 this August and raising money to help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. The money I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.
Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.

Tuesday 27th Aug This morning I finished my 600 lengths! Not only do I feel better for doing some more exercise but I’ve raised money in the process. Thank you to everyone who has supported me by donating to this worthy cause. 😊 Share
First 100 lengths!
Sunday 4th Aug 4 days in and 3rd swim and I’ve done my first 100 lengths, only another 500 to go. I’m finding it easier than I thought I would, today was a lovely swim as the pool was virtually empty so I could swim up and down and get lost in my own thoughts. The hardest bit is being in a swimsuit where people know me 🤣 Share
Dipping my toe back in!
Thursday 1st Aug As most of you know my late husband Simon passed away in 2017 from cancer. Bowel cancer symptoms can be embarrassing and there are some symptoms that people think will just go away, well it doesn’t and by the time it is caught it can be too late to treat. Simon got his diagnosis in March 2017 and passed away in December 2017, so don’t delay in seeking help if anything is different or unusual.Thank you to my Sponsors
