I'm fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and we're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.

I’m diving into Swim15 this August and raising money to help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. The money I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all. 

Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.

Saturday 24th Aug
Managed my longest swim so far today- 60 lengths/1.5km. 
Only 50 lengths left to complete my personal challenge of 10km.

Half way!

Monday 12th Aug
5 swims down and I’m halfway through my personal target of 10km. Consistency seems to be the key, managing 40 lengths (1km) each swim.
Challenging at times, especially tonight when I was feeling tired and the pool was so full. The support of my sponsors keeps me going. Thank you everyone! X

2nd swim

Monday 5th Aug
Another km completed.
Feeling easier than I expected. Confident now that I will manage my personal goal of 10km. If I feel strong enough I will push for the full 15.

First swim

Saturday 3rd Aug
Had to delay the start of my challenge due to my knee injections, but managed 40 lengths this morning, which means my first kilometer is done. Next swim planned before work on Tuesday.
