I'm fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK in memory of Caro Hogan

Two years ago, I lost one of my best friends to bowel cancer at the age of 40. Caro was one of a kind: friendly, quirky, fierce (and fiercely funny); with an endless collection of leggings and a nickname for everything and everyone she encountered. She was always doing lovely things for other people - she even left large sums to various causes in her will - so I'll be doing my best to raise funds for other bowel cancer sufferers in her honour.

I'm taking part in ActiveApril and I'm going to try to average at least one hour per day of activity! (Some days it'll be cardio; other days, I might just go for a walk. I do want to survive the month.)

Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.

The money I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.

I dragged myself through an intense kickboxing & weights workout today, just so I could finish on a high (regretting it now) 🥵😆
