My activity

I'm fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK for you, me and everyone touched by this disease.

Diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in June 2023 after a burst appendix operation in May 2023, I was thrust into the world of cancer, operations and treatments.

I can honestly say that having no symptoms except for a bloated tummy for a week or so, this all came as a massive shock to me, my family and friends.

I am being very well cared for by outstanding nurses and receiving the best treatments available but it’s important to do more.

I’m taking part in ActiveApril and raising money to help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. The money I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.

Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.
