I'm fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK
April is bowel cancer awareness month. In August 2024 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. I had surgery and chemotherapy, which finished in January this year. Keeping active has been really helpful as part of my recovery - so what better way to raise awareness and money than by taking part in Active April for Bowel Cancer UK. Cheating slightly - I'm getting the whole family involved, so between the 5 of us we will be active every day in varying combinations! All being well I should complete couch to 5k during April too, so perfect timing.
The money I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.
