ACTIVE APRIL 2025 – I'M BACK!
In September 2023, my world changed when I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. What followed was a whirlwind of tests, two gruelling rounds of chemotherapy, and 25 sessions of radiotherapy. But here I am – currently cancer free and so incredibly grateful.
Last year, I took part in Active April during my treatment. I set out to raise £150 to help raise awareness of bowel cancer... and thanks to the overwhelming generosity of my amazing friends and family, I raised an incredible £1300! I was blown away by the support.
This year, I’m back taking part again – this time with a body that’s been through a lot, a stoma I’ve learned to live with, and a heart full of gratitude. I’m moving every day this month not just for myself, but for everyone affected by this disease. Every step, every stretch, every sweat is to raise awareness of bowel cancer and help support this amazing cause.
