I’m fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK, walking 75 miles in September

Having been diagnosed with Stage 3 Bowel Cancer in May 2021 Bowel cancer Uk we’re a support to me and helped me through tough times via a group chat and today I am still in touch with my group. I can’t thank them enough and would like to give a little back to help them continue to give support/research where needed

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and we're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.

I’m taking part in Walkies Together this September to raise funds and help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Please support me and my fundraising.

Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.

The funds I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.

Monday 30th Sep

Day 30 challenge completed with my boys Joe Cocker & Duggie I achieved my new target of 100 miles! Thank you so so much to all my walking partners especially Brian & Viv. Bowel Cancer UK was a lifeline to me throughout my treatment giving me the opportunity to meet people going through the same via our weekly meetings online, I am still in touch with them after being diagnosed in 2021. Please everyone any slight changes make sure you see a GP, looking back I’d had bloating (only for a very short time) and darker”poo”, thankfully after being admitted for suspected appendicitis I was diagnosed and operated on the next day, it was stage 3, 6 months in Chemo followed and thankfully to date all is clear. I’m so happy to have completed this! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Love to you all xxxxx

Wet walk today, paused fitbit by mistake showing 1.77 but it will be at least 2 miles!

Thursday 19th Sep

Day 18 short walk as visited my brother, 1.6 miles. Today Fitbit lost battery just as I got home, it was 3.7 miles

Day 15-17

Tuesday 17th Sep

Day 15 2 miles at Tail Trail in between heavy rain, Day 16 long local walk 6.06 miles, today Fitbit didn’t log but it was 3.7 miles

Saturday 14th Sep

Walk solo with the boys this morning as hubby busy, 4.69 miles done, getting closer and hoping for another lovely day tomorrow x

Day 12 & 13

Friday 13th Sep

Day 12 GPS failed but I had done that walk previously it was around 3.7 miles. Today GPS failed for the first .4 of a mile = 4.2 done

Back at the Tail Trail today with hubby, 2.2 miles done, If you haven’t been there it’s a great set up give it a go x

3.75 miles done today, off on a girlie break tomorrow to celebrate friends milestone birthdays. I’ll be back to it in the 9th
