I’m fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and we're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.

I’m taking part in Walkies Together this September to raise funds and help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Please support me and my fundraising.

Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.

The funds I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.

Day 18

Wednesday 18th Sep

I'm not great at updating this bit, but I'm so pleased with how the challenge is going. Sheena and I have reached 36 miles and still plenty of time to go!

Tonight we had a beautiful sunny walk, making the most of the sunshine, before the weather turns.

Day 11 - 25 miles completed

Wednesday 11th Sep

Despite the horrible weather these past few days, Sheena and I have managed to keep up the walks. 25 miles completed so far! Here's hoping we can smash the 43 mile target.

Every penny you sponsor us means the absolute world. I'm doing this not only for my amazing friend but also for all the incredible people who I've found through this challenge that are battling with this hideous disease. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Day 7

Saturday 7th Sep

It's been a bit of a slower start than planned with Shee dog having issues with her joints and not being able to walk too far, but thankfully her new meds are helping and we are carefully increasing our distance walked. Still 18 miles so far, so not a bad start. Hoping to smash the 43 mile target!

Sunday 1st Sep

Didn't go quite as planned, due to Sheena seemingly hurting her front leg. So a split walk today, a short one with pooch and a longer one on my own. Hopefully, pooch will be back by my side soon. 😊
