I’m fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK
Rollo and I are taking part in Walkies Together this September to raise money for an incredible cause in memory of my incredible Mumma and my Great Aunt Joan.
While Aunt Joan was given the all clear after a life saving operation and treatment back in 2010, Mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer in October 2017 and after just over 3 years of chemo, radiotherapy and major invasive surgery, we said goodbye in January 2021.
My Mum was the most courageous person and fought this disease with everything she had.
Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.
The funds I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.
