I’m fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and we're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.

I’m taking part in Walkies Together this September to raise funds and help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Please support me and my fundraising.

Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.

The funds I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.

Getting on the road again!

Monday 16th Sep

Well two weeks in and I am back out walking, albeit slowly as ankle is still sore but I am catching up!

To date, I have walked 14.6 miles so I have 28.4m to go until end of September.

I have been doing some short walks around Rochford and along the seafront where its nice and flat, with Toy Chase joining me as Chase whizzes around Cherry Orchard Park. Hopefully I can get in a couple more walks with him and Kelly before the end of the month but I will keep plodding on nevertheless.

Sunday 1st September Shenanigans!

Monday 2nd Sep

Well we started our first walk of the month in the lovely Cherry Orchard Country Park, however a mile in and only 30 mins along our route, I fell and badly sprained my ankle. Poor Chase was wondering what on earth was going on. 4 piggy backs later and sitting on a log for half an hour, Kelly managed to double time it back to the car and come and pick me up!

So no walking for me for at least a week!

Not a great start but the tortoise still made it to the finish line on time and so can I. :)

Monday 26th Aug

I’m walking with Chase and Kelly to smash 43 miles in September, in memory of our mum’s passing 20 years ago this year. When I can’t walk with real Chase, toy Chase will accompany me on my rambles.
