I’m fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and we're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.

I’m taking part in Walkies Together this September to raise funds and help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Please support me and my fundraising.

Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.

The funds I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.

Challenge complete!

Monday 30th Sep
That’s it! 100 mile walkies challenge in September done with Toby 🙌🏻🙌🏻 The initial target was 43 miles as 43,000 are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year and smashed it, so set a new target of 100 miles. Thank you to those who have donated and thank you to those who walked alongside us 🩵🤍 If anyone would like to donate, no matter how small, please click on our link: https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Final weekend!

Saturday 28th Sep
My sidekick and wingman that’s been beside me every mile- thank you beautiful boy 🤍🩵 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/fundraisers/lyndsaymillington-potter

Final push 💕

Wednesday 25th Sep
I’ve missed a few days posting about our adventures but on the home straight- 30 miles to go and 5 days left. Had a real push and got 3 walks in today to make 7.9 miles…. We followed what was signposted a public path today and did the biggest circle ever 🙈 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/login/event

Autumn at Attingham

Sunday 22nd Sep
54 miles down, 46 to go. Trip to Attingham park today- It’s amazing to see how quickly the seasons are changing and had a lovely walk whilst the leaves were falling from the trees 🍂 Toby also got to see the ducks today 🦆 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Back to it!

Saturday 21st Sep
Had a week away with work so trainers and harness back on for a really short walk of 1.97 miles today as had to drop James off to music college- another walk on the cards later. https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Woohoo!

Wednesday 18th Sep
Yes! Me and Tony have one more target to hit and that’s to complete the challenge! Thank you for all the donations so far💕 If anyone would like to sponsor me I’d be truly grateful- I have 51 more miles to go and will be a real challenge considering I’m away all week on a business trip so we will need to up our A-Game when I get home 🩵🤍 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 14

Wednesday 18th Sep
Toby and I had a lovely early morning walk this morning around comer woods with mom, dad and Morgan before the rain came! The sun was shining beautifully through the trees 🩵💙 Nanny was not fooling Toby when we sat for a coffee, Tobes stuffed his head in her pocket for more treats 🙈 49 miles, 51 more to go! https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 13

Wednesday 18th Sep
A smaller walk today of 2.35 miles logged but the best part was Toby got to catch up with one of his litter brothers, Chester. They both seemed to remember each other and went mad when they saw each other 💙🩵 however…Chester ended up chancing a mouthful of fish bait out of a fisherman’s box and Toby wouldn’t stop trying to hump Chester- never a dull day with Bockers 🤪 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 12

Wednesday 18th Sep
We have now hit what would have been our original target of 43 miles- we have now done 44 with 56 left to go. https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 11

Wednesday 18th Sep
5.25 miles in the fresh autumn evening and on a school night- get in! 💪🏻 good night sleep will be had for us tonight 🩵🤍 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 10

Wednesday 18th Sep
*100 miles walkies challenge for Bowel Cancer UK* I’m sorry to keep spamming you on your socials but if anyone is able to donate to this worthwhile charity, please do 🩵🤍 43,000 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year in the UK. That's why the initial challenge was to walk 43 miles this September trying to make a difference in the lives of around 268,000 people living with bowel cancer in the UK today. I’ve decided that because the first week alone we’ve walked 28 miles, I’m going to up our target instead to 100 miles in September. I know that it’s going to be a real challenge but me and the pupper can do this. Thank you to everyone for the donations so far- I would love to at least hit the £100 (to make it £1 for every mile walked) if anyone can spare a couple of pounds, I would be truly grateful. In the meantime check out the cute pics of Toby taken this week on our adventures. Thank you for taking the time to read this, Lynds 💕 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 9

Wednesday 18th Sep
Walk 9…. 6.56 miles and we got SOAKED! So soaked my watch stopped halfway 🤪 Toby is currently sat on the towel of shame 🙈 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 8

Wednesday 18th Sep
22 miles with another 3.87 miles this morning 🐾 Thanks Sarah Howell for catching up (not our usual Costa morning 😂😂) https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 7

Wednesday 18th Sep
Walk number 7 and my days it dropped dark quickly tonight and did a detour on the main road, but we also used Tobys light…. Trying to get a photo in poor light was impossible but you can see by the light how quick he was- Toby should be a whippet, not a beagle 🙈🙈 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 6

Wednesday 18th Sep
I thought we may have missed this walk being the first day back at school for James today, but managed to get out early and get another quick 2 miles in- very fresh this morning 🩵 Toby was a dream to walk (some days he’s a sulky teenager, but today he was a delight!) https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 5

Wednesday 18th Sep
2nd walk of the day and another 3 miles banked 🐾 13 miles done, 30 to go 💕 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 4

Wednesday 18th Sep
Day 4- Toby’s sniffs and excitement got the better of him today so changed up our regular route- definitely feel autumn in the air this morning 🍁🍂 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 3

Wednesday 18th Sep
Day three and Toby was not impressed that there were no ducks to look at in the pool this morning 🦆

Walk 2

Wednesday 18th Sep
Day 2 morning walk… it’s miserable but we carry on 🙃 https://fundraise.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/s/5976/6429

Walk 1

Wednesday 18th Sep
First walk of the challenge done- 4.29miles ✅ Was even nicer that mom, dad, Jay and Morgan joined us on the first of many during September 💕
