I’m fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and we're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.
I’m taking part in Walkies Together this September to raise funds and help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Please support me and my fundraising.
Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.
The funds I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.

Monday 30th Sep Pleased to say that I smashed the original target and reached a quiet one I had in my head at the outset - 100 miles (Strava crashed a couple times so was actually more but I won’t mention that - whoops I have) I took this challenge up at the outset in honour and memory of a loved one that was effected with bowel cancer. And despite my good friend David saying well you walk the dog anyway so not much of a challenge - I did push myself to get out more to stack up those miles and to go above and beyond for the people that did sponsor me (and to show David that I did more miles than I would normally do 😹). £100 raised might not sound a lot on its own but it’s the combo of loads of £100’s to make a grand total of £90k + that will make a difference.

Thursday 22nd Aug To encourage sponsors I will pledge to add 50% of the target 43 miles as the total goal - making it a whopping 64 mile target !!! Share
