Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and we're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.
I’m taking part in Walkies Together this September to raise funds and help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Please support me and my fundraising.
Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.
The funds I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.

In memory of my beloved Dad Papa Ray 💙

I'm Ellie Thompsett and I'm fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK, in loving memory of my Dad (Papa Ray).
I chose this charity because its close to my heart, having family and friends beating this disease and giving it the flick of the fingers. Then sadly losing my Uncle Stephen to the horrible disease in July 2022.
But this is my personal story, im going to share now!
At the end of September 2022, we received the dreaded news that Papa Ray had bowel cancer. I supported him 100 and 10 percent and always by his side, through the good, bad and ugly times. It was the biggest fight we had ever faced.
After 10 months, sadly on 13th of July 2023 Papa Ray lost the battle to this horrendous disease!!! He drew his last breath and grew his angel wing. It didn't seem fair!!
