I’m fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK
As most of you will know, I work within a colorectal unit and have done for 8 years now. Colorectal is my speciality and one I feel very passionate about. People always underestimate their bowel and don’t realise how important it is until it stops working.
I’m raising funds for Bowel Cancer UK as I see more and more people diagnosed with this awful disease each year. I’ve started seeing people as young as their early 20’s diagnosed with this horrific disease right through to people in their 90’s.
I’ll be walking 43 miles in the month of September to raise funds for the 43,000 people that are diagnosed each year.
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and we're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.
I’m taking part in Walkies Together this September to raise funds and help save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Please support me and my fundraising.
Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable.
The funds I raise will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, fund and support research into bowel cancer and support campaigns for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.
